Buick Envision 2021: three strong arguments in its favor

The luxury compact SUV segment is one of the most popular in the industry, as the buyer can find everything they want for sustenance, all at a price that remains very reasonable. At Buick, we entered this category in 2016 with the first generation of the Envision. For 2021, the brand presents the rest with the second vintage of the model.

And for this second lap, the least we can say is that the offer is really interesting. If this model is on your shopping list, or if it wasn't yet, here are three arguments that will make you want to check it out.

A very assertive style

Buick had successfully designed the first generation of the Envision. However, she wanted to do more with her evolution, and she performed admirably well; the new Buick Envision is absolutely spectacular.

Its front part, with its unique grille adorned with a chrome strip, invites immediate recognition. Its rear part, with a very refined style, is elegant and exudes luxury.

The Avenir version, on the other hand, which sits at the top of the range ahead of the Privileged and Petrol variants, offers a unique grille and 20-inch wheels. You can even opt for the Sport Touring Group set which emphasizes black and transforms the appearance of the Envision.

A new mechanic

Luxury with a vehicle also means the quality of what you find under the hood. This time, Buick uses a single engine, a 2-liter turbo 4-cylinder. This block suggests a capacity of 228 horsepower and a torque of 258 lb-ft of torque, but most importantly, reduced fuel consumption compared to the two mechanics that were left out. On the highway, for example, the new mill consumes an average of 7.6 liters or 8.2 liters per 100 kilometers, depending on whether you opt for a front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive version. In the city, these figures are in the order of 10.0 and 10.5 liters. On the handset? 8.9 and 9.5 liters, always respecting the same references.

Security

Finally, with a new model today, security is a must. With the Envision 2021, you can get a bunch of optional extras, like adaptive cruise control, but when you buy the model, you get nine standard features - Driver Confidence package protections.

These include automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assistance with lane departure warning, collision prevention warning, front pedestrian detection with automatic braking, distance indicator with the vehicle in front, IntelliBeam automatic high beams, lane change alert with side obstacle detection, as well as rear cross traffic alert.
