Chevrolet Ranks Third in Initial Quality Study by J.D. Power
June 26 2020,
It was a little earlier this month that the American firm JD Power released the results of its prestigious study on the initial quality of 2020 vehicles. We learn that Chevrolet took third place with a jump of three places compared to Last year.
The year 2020 marks the fifth generation of the study where several changes have been made. It now includes 223 questions organized into nine vehicle categories, namely: the infotainment system; functionalities, controls and displays; outside; driving assistance; interior; powertrain ; seats; driving experience; and air conditioning.
The initial quality study by J.D. Power examines the problems faced by owners of new 2020 model year vehicles in the first 90 days of ownership.
Another fact to note is the performance of several GM vehicles including the Chevrolet Malibu and Sonic. Indeed, the Malibu ranks first in the category of mid-size sedans just like the Chevrolet Sonic in the category of small cars. In addition, the latter also obtains the best result of all the models under study this year.
Among the other categories, several other Chevrolet products stood out, notably the Chevrolet Trax, Blazer, Equinox, Tahoe, Colorado and Silverado HD in their respective categories.
