Introducing our first 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD
October 29 2019, Automont Chevrolet Buick GMC
THE MOST ROBUST AND MOST POWERFUL SILVERADO HD EVER
The all-new Silverado HD 2020 has arrived at Automont and is ready to work. With a choice of two robust powertrains, new technologies available for confident towing, and a larger, stronger and more functional Durabed body than previous Silverado HDs, this one was built to apply to most difficult tasks.
The Silverado HD 2020 offers two impressive engines designed specifically to meet the demands of buyers of a heavy-duty pickup. The 6.6L V8 gasoline engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission with 401 hp & 464 lb-ft of torque and the 6.6L DURAMAX V8 turbodiesel engine available with a brand new allison 10-speed automatic transmission with 445 hp and 910 lb-ft of torque, capable of towing up to 30,000 pounds (13607kg).
Built with a solid base of heavy-duty steel, the all-new 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD provides the strength for tough jobs. Its Durabed case is the most functional in its category. Constructed of heavy-duty steel, the body includes 12 lashing hooks as standard, a rear bumper with larger end steps, available features such as LED cargo area lighting, a power outlet 120 volt integrated current and a brand new BedStep side step between the cab and the rear wheel.
More powerful than ever and equipped with specialized technologies, the all-new Silverado HD 2020 has been entirely designed and built to tackle the toughest tasks. These include the eight cameras that allow up to 15 different shots, almost everywhere around the vehicle, including the 360-degree view that we already know. In the center of the console, there is a touch screen of just a fairly good size that houses an easy-to-use multimedia system. This is where you will have access to all the shots from multiple cameras and to an application that will remind you what to check when you attach a trailer. Old folks will keep saying they don't need this, however tugs with less experience may love it!
Additional available technologies and equipment designed to improve towing include:
- The automatic parking brake assist automatically activates the electronic parking brake to help maintain truck position and vehicle creep when hitching a trailer.
- The all-new parking aid improves handling by using the braking force to help keep the truck in place for a long time.
- An improved integrated trailer brake controller works with the trailer profile in the advanced towing system to recall the most recent brake gain setting of a specified trailer.
- An improved tow / haul mode remains activated during the next start cycle, up to four hours and includes a reminder that the function is activated.
- Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control.
- StabiliTrak with trailer swing control and proactive rollover avoidance.
- Automatic quality braking and diesel exhaust braking.
- The improved digital variable steering assistance dynamically optimizes the power steering according to driving scenarios and allows features such as traction compensation on the road.
In short, the Silverado HD is more spacious, powerful and work-oriented. Come meet your Automont representative to learn more about it!
